Need a new engine?
So I purchased a 2006 Lexus used. I’ve had it less than a year and have had my local shop do all the maintenance. The car doesn’t get driven offen. The last time I had the oil changed, it was very low and come to find out there was oil in one of the exhaust pipes. I’m not very educated in the automotive field, but I know that’s not good. The shop declined my request to find the the source of the leak. Instead, they suggested a new motor. The car only has 103k miles. Im not sure of the cars maintenance history. Is there no other option of repair besides replacing the motor. Also should add, there is a rotten egg smell when you take off at a fast rate of speed. Thank you for any help or advice.

Welcome and sorry for circumstance of your joining.
I'd start out by creating an account at the Lexus owner's site and seeing if you can pull up service history on your vehicle (at least work that was done at a dealership). You'll need the VIN
