I upgraded my is250 to the spec-d smoked headlights. The installation was pretty simple plug and play but getting this problem and it keeps drawing my battery... is the resistor necessary? Any help will be greatly appreciated

I'm assuming you are trying to make the led SWOOSH your DRL?

Did you follow the install directions? The DRL needs switched/ACC power.
It is not plug and play.
If your car has high beam DRL, those need to be disable in Techstream before you start. Wiring your new DRL to the old high beam will not work, that signal is a PWM signal so it will oscillate.
Check out my install of VLAND, the DRL setup will be similar to the Spec D.
