Hey Folks,
Need your expertise, so I bought a 2008 lS350 with 98k miles from an auction. The auction did list the car does not start. So once I received the car surprisingly no start lol… Checked the engine oil its good and engine does rotate also about half tank of gas. Used a jumper box, now what it does is when I click the push start the dash lights up and the PUSH BUTTON amber light turns GREEN. But once I click on the brake to start its silent no response at all. I have checked entire fuse’s ALL GOOD; I did direct the starter using the starter relay and it cranked but no start. Any ideas I have read on some pages about ECU (but those folks were having issues connecting to the computer with a scanner), I have checked computer and no codes are popping up.
Any ideas? I found a used ECU for cheap, but thinking its going to need programming for sure
is there a way to test your ECU?

If you describe the "no start" a little bit more with details perhaps we can see a clearer picture. Much as you think we are wizards, we all rely on data to start helping you debug your IS. Highly suggest you try to get full history of this car through your VIN. You can easily do this by registering as an Owner through Lexus.com. All reported Lexus work will be recorded on your car. Good start to figure out how to get your IS going. Good luck.
