Question 18" G Spider Wheel Fitment on 2IS 350 AWD? - ANSWERED

Hey all,

I'm wondering if anyone has experience with fitment of the 18" G Spider wheels on a 2IS (preferably the AWD model)? Part number for the wheels is 0845730813, but from what I can see online it doesn't specifically say it fits for the AWD model.

https://parts.lexus.com/images/parts...45730813_1.jpg

Further to that, if it should fit the RWD model is there any reason why it shouldn't fit the AWD model?

UPDATED!:

So I went ahead to check out a set of spider wheels and 245/40 tires to test fit the front ones to see if there was any rubbing/brake clearance issues. After testing them out briefly they seemed to fit good so I ended up buying them. I gave them a good polish and mounted them on the car and all I have to say is WOW. They fill the wheels wells so much better and I like the greater contrast of the slightly darker finish. See below before and after photos.

So to conclude, the 18" G Spider Wheels (18x8) will fit a 2011 IS350 AWD with 245 tires all around, without any rubbing. Only difference I noticed was the front tires tend to follow cracks/grooves in the roads more.

They're probably staggered wheels, but no worries they still fit AWD, you just need to mount tires that have the same overall diameter.

Yes these ones would likely be staggered. However, I am looking at a used set off of someone locally which were off of an 07 GS350 AWD which I believe are all the same.

My only concerns were if they would clear my brake caliper and if there would be any rubbing.

Before you put the money on the table you may want to mount the front wheels and see if they clear the 350 calipers.

If they are 225/45/18 then yes they will fit without rubbing. If you happen to have slight occasional rub just use heat gun to reshape the plastic fender liner.

Thanks for your help. The wheels come with 245s all around so I suspect potential rubbing in the front, but not 100% sure. I may go install them on the front of the car temporarily to see how they fit before I pull the trigger.

Are the tires 245/40 or 245/45?

08457-30813 are 18x8.0" wheels, could use 4 of them on an AWD with 225/40R18 all around. You can also likely get away with something like 245/35R18 all around.

Alternatively, you can do the following:

08457-30813 - 18x8.0" Front with 225/40R18
08457-53811 - 18x8.5" Rear with 255/35R18

Jeff,

Are these the same wheels as the latest IS?
I'd like to see if these would also fit on my AWD. I'm looking for a non staggered set 17x8, or 18x8.

Thanks.

Hey Mike,

The G Spider wheels are not the same as the latest IS (as shown in the image above).

As far as I can tell, if the fitment is the same 18x8, with a 40 series sidewall then they should fit (as these 18" G Spider wheels which are 18x8 with 245/40 tires fit without rubbing).

Thanks

Hey Mike,

Just a quick search online for this wheel I think I have found a part number for you. 4261A53291

I found this by looking at a couple sites https://www.lexuspartsdirect.ca/p/Le...261A53291.html https://parts.lexus.com/p/Lexus__/WH...261A53291.html

I'm not 100% sure on what size this is but I believe it's an 18x8J. I would recommend calling lexus to get more details on if it would fit your car.

I hope this helps!

Thanks. Though for that price I'm just going aftermarket. Unless I can find a good used set. So you're saying I can run the 245's with out rubbing in the front? If so maybe I can do 8.5 with 35 offset all around. It might look funny as the front will probably be more flush with the fender.

Yea I agree as they're pricey (just like almost all OEM lexus parts), so I would agree that aftermarket or a used set is a better option.

If you have a 2IS you should be able to get away with 245s in the front without rubbing. And yea as you might be able to see by my pictures above the front does look more flush then the rear, but definitely better then stock.
