about to buy a is 250, i have 2 that i have my heart set on, one is a 08 all white on black (which is the scheme i love) that one has 103k miles, asking price is 9k, only thing i see wrong with that car (from pictures) is the dash and door panels are horrible, was thinking about using that as my negotiating point.

second is a 09 white on beige, with 139k miles, they want 9500 for it, again from pictures that one dosent seem to have any cosmetic defects at all actually.

both of these dealerships are kind of far away from where i live, about an hour or so, would i be wasting my time if i went to either one of them with 7500 in cash?

both are pricey in my opinion but dealerships, even mom & pop small independent ones rarely go below 8k as they have to make a living. with $7500, why not find a private party sale?

thats the problem, where do i go for private party listings? used to be autotrader, but them, carsforsale, cargurus, even craigslist, all the listings i see are from dealerships.

Don't be afraid to travel to save thousands. I fly into NJ from SC to get what had to have been at the time the best deal on a used IS350 in the states.

i agree on you with this one, all my searches are within 500 mile radius, i dont mind the drive if i get a good deal, those 2 deals im talking about are both far away (100 miles or so) thats the reason why i want to know if i would be wasting my time offering what i have, and you cant exactly tell them over the phone thats what u plan to give.
