Hi guys, i have finally created my account. I have a Lexus IS 250, with about 200k km. My gearbox is seazing and not shifting out of 3rd gear, also my reverse is not engaging. Would it be better to try and fix or should I just go with a 2nd hand gearbox?

My car is AWD, i found a RWD gearbox for a good price . However before I purchase I would like to know if is possible to swap out the AWD with a RWD? Does it need major modifications?

You cannot use a RWD transmission in your car. It won't work and can't be modified to make it work either. The AWD transmission is different. Just get an AWD transmission that's for your car.

I have a 2014 IS250 AWD with a bad engine. Can I put in an engine/transmission from a Rear Wheel Drive? I have the driveshaft and all hardware from the RWD vehicle to use. I can use whichever oil filter mount that fits.
