Default No crank no start/dead key fob

My IS350 will not start after battery in the key fob went dead. I was holding the fob by the ignition button to start it for a couple days. But now it's not working. I checked the battery.. The battery is fully charged. I have not tested the alt nor have I tested the starter. Please help. It seems it would be something simpler. When I turn the key on all of the dash lights light up but as soon as I push the brake to start it half my dash lights go off and so does the fan that is wired directly to the fuse box. Any suggestions? I replaced the battery on the key fob n nothing.

Do you have another key fob you can try? If it works you know it’s the key fob not the car

Perhaps the CR1632 battery that was replaced in the remote FOB was installed backwards, with the battery "+ " facing Down and not Up?

The words in bold above, point to a poor connection at the battery posts or a bad cable. Disconnect the battery terminal doing the ground or Negative cable first then the positive. Clean the mating parts. They should have a more silver appearance than a dark grey or black. Darker implies oxidation and poor electrical conduction.

Reassemble connecting the Positive terminal first (and tighten it), then the negative. Try starting the vehicle. If this doesn't help, try jumping it with another vehicle.

When making the Negative ground connection, connect the jumper cable to the engine block on a clean unpainted surface. Try starting again.

Please keep in mind that the cable terminals to the the battery should not move by hand when grabbed and twisted.
