We use Evans a lot in BMWs since their cooling systems are plastic garbage, the theory is that w/o any pressure in the system from the Evans liquid... you'll be putting less strain on it, so less chances for cracks.

Assuming you do remove ALL water from the system (pretty much even a little will result in Evans getting pressurized and defeating the purpose), I've never heard of any negatives to it.

That said, not sure how needed it would be in the a Lexus.

Personally I would stick with Toyota pink. 100k miles change interval, never had a cooling issue on my harshest drives in either 115 F through steep inclines and long trips with the AC on, or subzero temps

Yeah, i had it in my s60r and ls400, its just ease of mind knowing theirs no pressure in an old car.

Since 1995 I've owned 7 Toyotas (one of them reached over 200K) all with ZERO heating issues over the cars lifetimes. I've driven them on many long trips in harsh conditions and high temps at high speeds, including hundreds of trips between Northern and Southern California (an average of 360 miles each way) in all types of weather conditions, including high temps in SoCal traffic. If the car was well maintained than the OEM coolant is totally sufficient. $49 a gallon seems pretty steep, especially for a car with a well designed cooling system as Toyota/Lexus's. But if it gives you piece of mind, I don't think Evans will hurt anything
