touchscreen not working
My navigation unit touchscreen function does not work. Anyone in the bay area knows how to fix this, or recommend a shop? Also, I see Navigation repair services on Ebay, are those any good?

Mikado Motor works in Gilroy, he specializes in repairing older Lexus instrument panels, infotainment screens etc. He even repairs the lighting in the needles in the instrument panel

I just fixed my own last week on a 2008 is250 it's pretty easy to do if you're comfortable taking off some panels, bolts and wires. I spent about $45 on the touch digitizer from amazon (yes its chinese but looks and works just like it did before with OEM) and about 2 hours. There's a few good youtube videos out there that show it step by step if you want to evaluate whether you can do it on your own:
Since it's the ribbon cable that gets damaged on these digitizers, I think other people on this forum have used a circuit writer pen to fix that connection but my logic was while I already have all of it apart I'd rather just use a new digitizer for $45 even if its bootlegged. Works perfectly ever since but I guess I'll find out eventually if it actually lasts with the cheap part.
