I came here to ask if anyone’s went through what I have. My is350 transmission is acting funny. Like it was perfect the day before. But now the transmission is just clunky when I come to a stop or when I’m about to accelerate. It goes thru every girl in manual mode. But sometimes it slips when it’s in D mode, or doesn’t wanna go thru gears. I did get the codes
P2714
P0766
P0894
i looked it up and some say it’s the solenoid D but the last one says it’s just the transmission. Can anyone comment on this? Should I see if bringing it to Toyota and see if they could figure out what’s wrong or just cut to the chase and get a used transmission? Any tips will help ! Thanks 🙏🏼

It could be as simple as low transmission fluid from a leak or old transmission fluid that's been sitting in there way overdue for a fluid swap. More details on the car would be needed for anyone to help such as year, mileage and if you know if the trans fluid has ever been serviced

my Lexus is350 has about 101k and it’s a 2008, I do drive it hard.. and I never do burnouts but I did that night and after that it started acting funny.

I doubt doing a burnout would be the cause, because of the age of your car you may want to start out by getting the fluid level checked in the trans, if there are any leaks, or the condition of the fluid. I had a coworker who was exhibiting the same exact issue as yours, he thought it was the autotrans going bad but it turned out that he had a leak in the seal, so the fluid level was extremely low. New seal and added fluids and everything is now normal

I'm just worried cause I really got CEL and had those 3 codes.

The CEL is due to things not working as expected. Until you verify it's not due to low transfluid or "bad" fluid is not the cause I wouldn't assume the worse yet. Just the optimist in me owning Toyota's for the last 25 years

yeah sometime this week I’ll have it towed to the Toyota dealership. Cause Lexus will do the same inspection for much more $$$
