Roger. Thank you sir.

Then no I did not change the OCV. Should this be the next step?

Cross reference the OCV for position A or diagrams as #1. See if they're the same part number for both banks. I'd swap them out and see if the code changes to the other bank.

See link for OCV locations on valve covers.

Looks like the Part Numbers are different, but only slightly (153300P020 for Bank 1 and 153400P020 for Bank 2). Not sure if this slight difference makes them swappable.

OCV Intake # 153300S010
OCV Exhaust # 153400P020

It looks like both sides are interchangeable. Left , and right.

RockAuto also shows the same.

Copy. So I'll try swapping the intake OCVs and see if the code changes to Bank 1. From the 3D diagram in your other thread ("Bank 2 cam shaft sensor") it is kind of hard to tell which sensor is the intake one on Bank 1. Before I complete the swap, can you confirm (I showed the swap below):

Correct Intake OCV's are the top ones for intake.

Remember to reset ECU. Otherwise the same code could be shown.

Roger that. Thank you for the confirmation and assistance Mike. I'll try the swap today, reset the ECU, and report back the results.

Finally got around to troubleshooting. So I took out the intake OCV on Bank 2 so I could swap it over to Bank 1, and there was a clear blockage in the oil passages. Little metal shavings blocking the flow of oil. I thought I had found the issue! I cleared out the metal shavings, put it back in the original Bank 2, cleared the ECU. CEL returned. Dang. So I swapped the intake OCV between Bank 1 and Bank 2 as advised, cleared the ECU, and the DTC jumped to Bank 1. From P0022 to P0012. Woohoo! The OCV must have been damaged beyond repair. I plan to replace it with a new OCV tomorrow and will report back.

Swapped out the bad intake OCV, cleared the ECU, and no CEL as of yet. It's been about 50 miles of mixed city/hwy driving and the CEL has been typically been popping back up around 10-12 miles. I'm calling this one resolved! Thank you CL for the outstanding help, especially MikeFig82, 2013FSport, and Dealarr. Your patience and expertise saved me a ton of money and time. I appreciate you guys!

Just to recap for those that don't want to read this novel:
-Mechanic (mis)diagnosed leaky VC gaskets (smoke)
-Tore down; replaced VC gaskets, plugs, coils, IM upper and lower gaskets, 6x VVT/camshaft gaskets (under VC)
-Reassembled; smoke continued, 3x code (P0022, P0354, P0356)
-Thought I muffed VCG job (not sealed properly)
-Tore back down; reseated gasket with sealant
-Reassembled; smoke continued, same codes
-Checked middle VC bolts, driverside banjo bolt, coolant drain plug, and exhaust manifold top bolts for any signs of looseness/leakage/oil; none
-Washed down with degreaser; smoke continued
-Swapped out intake camshaft position sensor on Bank 2; smoke cleared, codes P0354/P0356 cleared; P0022 remained
-Swapped intake OCV from Bank 2 to Bank 1; code changed from P0022 to P0021
-Swapped out bad intake OCV
-Golden

Thanks again CL. Looks like my initial problem was probably just the intake OCV and camshaft position sensor, but I got new VC gaskets, plugs, and coils out of the deal! LOL. Black Beauty should be good for a while now.

Next job: 4x pads + rotors. I'm experiencing slight shaking/vibration when braking, especially at high speeds. Think it's a warped rotor. But I'm going to wait a few months, I need a break, heh.
