thanks, I just talked to a shady tuning shop and they told me the best idea would be to drop the whole thing and gut them

Damn you Cali! I was up in the Carlsbad bad area a few years back. Stayed at the Grand Pacific Palisades for a week compliant of our company sales guy.

Too bad for their strict carb laws. I'd probably relocate....

Nope, love our weather way too much. I've traveled all over the US, and each state has its own charm, but none like Cali. Only thing I hate here is some of our liberalism, but weather trumps all. Where else can you wear shorts and go to the beach all year round (I was just at Newport Beach last week)? And Cali women. Damn.

On another note, you can try these MaganFlow CATS, they are CARB compliant: https://www.magnaflow.com/collection...alifornia=true

They still show not legal in California. Unless I'm looking at the wrong option. It only let's me see Federal emission.

The link I sent him say they are all CARB compliant and not just Federal/EPA compliant. They are a bit more expensive than the one you are posting here

According to Jeff they are. You might want to PM him just to verify.

Make sure they are from a RWD IS250.

Fitment is the same for all of them, though there are several different part numbers depending on year.

RH
17140-31120 - 2006-02/2008 IS 250 RWD and IS 350
17140-31470 - 02/2008-2009 IS 250 RWD and IS 350, 2010-2012 IS 350 RWD
17140-31510 - 2010 IS 250 RWD (Lexus: "The volume and cell density of the Three-Way Catalyst (TWC) in the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe have been optimized.")
17150-31640 - 2011-2012 IS 250 RWD (Lexus: "The shape of the exhaust manifold has been changed due to the mounting position change of the air fuel ratio sensor.")
17150-31770 - 2013 IS 250 RWD and IS 350 RWD
17150-31790 - 2014-2015 IS 250 RWD and IS 350 RWD

LH
17150-31120 - 2006-2009 IS 250 RWD, 2006-2011 IS 350
17150-31510 - 2010 IS 250 RWD
17150-31640 - 2011-2012 IS 250 RWD
17150-31290 - 2012 IS 350 RWD
17150-31770 - 2013-2015 IS 250 RWD and IS 350 RWD

I use
BAFX BAFX

And bought a $7 OBDII 1' cable extension for hard to reach connectors. A few members in 1Addicts (BMW) recommended it, if it works for them and those cars are gremlins, it sure worked for the Lexus.
