I own a 2006 6MT IS250 and look to follow in the footsteps of the great Jeff Lange. I've followed his posts and threads and did some research of my own since our vehicles are different in one aspect: his vehicle has VDIM and mine has VSC.

He mentioned in a post that the ECU of a 2006/2007 GS350 could work because that lexus model/years did not have VDIM.

I'm looking to start with purchasing a used ECU before anything else and narrowed down to 3 part numbers:
89661-30D90 (07/2006-05/2007) Computer, Engine Control
89661-30D91 (06/2007-09/2007) Computer, Engine Control
89661-30D92 (072006-05/2007, 06/2007-09/2007) Computer, Engine Control

I am ruling out 89661-30J20 through 89661-30J23 as this seems to be for the 2008 GS350 which may or may not have VDIM from what I've read.

30D90 and 30D91 can be found for less than $200 USD on Ebay and the 30D92 model seems to be some kind of remanufactured ECU that I cannot find under $1000 USD.

My question is: would it be safe to pull the trigger on either the 30D90 or 30D91 for a possible 2GR-FSE swap into my 2006 IS250 6MT? Thanks in advance
