Default transmission fluid jiffy lube?

hey guys i recently bought a is250 and the tranny fluid was changed at jiffy lube at 165000km, right now car is at 169800km

after going over some transmission threads and researching iam very very concerned about the tranny and the fact that it was serviced at jiffy lube.

should i keep driving it or schedule an app at the dealer for a fluid change or a complete flush? everything's shifts nice and crisp and good iam just very very concerned now

only problem is the latest appointment iam finding is for this thursday or friday.

Definitely wouldnt flush it, just do a simple drain and fill twice with a 5k interval between them and you should be good.

if you are worried, just schedule an appointment at lexus dealership and change it again, doesn't hurt to change it early, it only hurts your wallet but it is safer that way if you don't trust jiffy lube.

yea someone told me to not change it too quick cause it might remove the friction material in the oil so i hope i mean all i can do is hope that they put the correct fluid in and just drive it for like 6k km till my next oil change and then change it out

- whoever told you that has no idea.

You can put new fluid, make sure to select synthetic. I use Valvoline Fully synthetic Max-life.
I did it on my 4Runner as well, dropped the pan, new strainer filter, 5 quarts on first change. Drove it for about 5 minutes, came back, and replaced about two quarts. Did the same one more time, two more quarts. Still there is old oil in it, but way better on how it was before. Transmission shifts smoothly.

The key is whatever amount you take out, out the same back in. And as you change it a few times it goes from dark to clear red fluid. Am planningon swapping two to three more quarts at 15k or so and adding a Magnafine in-line transmission filter.

yea some random guy on Facebook said that I shouldn’t replace it too soon💀💀 , booked an appointment at Lexus for Tuesday to get it replaced one and for all so my mind can be at ease , hopefully the car runs fine without problem these next two days till I get it changed

thr transmission shifts nice and strong I just need the peace of mind that there’s something good in the car and not whatever jiffy lube put in
