Default 2009 IS350 Skid control ECU location

I must be blind or something. I see a few post saying the Skid control ECU is on the passenger side under the glove box...where? Because I’ve tore this whole thing apart and I’m not seeing it. Maybe I need glasses. Perhaps I’m sleep deprived. Or I could just be crazy. At any rate, I can’t find this damn thing. I’d greatly appreciate it if someone could point it out for me.

The diagrams show it's on the passenger side. Did you remove the lower plastic plate under the dash? I think the module says ABS Trac.

As stated my mikefig82, its under the glove box. Remove the under panel and you should see it. Held in by 3 bolts as I remember.

That’s one of the diagrams I was looking at. This is under the glove box with the panel removed. I might be wrong but I’m pretty sure that in the center is part of the HVAC. The Skid control ECU has multiple connections. I even pulled the kick panel back and looked on the driver side because one diagram showed it over there.

This pic is from my 2009 ISF, it was located in the same place on my 2006 IS350.

This what I found on my 2010 AWD 250

under the blower motor.

It's not located there either.

It is a RWD. I wonder if the previous owner relocated it or something

I'm stumped on this one, all the diagrams I've seen show it in the same location under the glove box...

Are you currently having problems related to the skid control ecu?

Yeah. I’m thinking it’s either bad or has a loose connection. I have traction control, abs, and afs lights on. I also have code being thrown for
Lost communication with lateral sensor module
Brake boost sensor circuit range/performance
Zero point calibration of yaw rate sensor undone
Open or short in front speed sensor
Lost communication with yaw rate sensor

You can start by checking the abs speed sensors on the front. With an OHM meter check resistance on both sides. To see if any are damaged.

Second you can do a Zero point calibration. The procedure is here Post# 10.

Hopefully it just got out of whack. Someone posted before of this issue. The Zero point calibration seemed to fix it.

The first thing I did was the recalibration. The second was check the speed sensors. One of them had a value that was slightly off so I went ahead and replaced them all since I was already going to have the wheels off to replace the brakes and rotors. I appreciate the info though. I will try the zero point calibration again

I thought I was missing something when I didn't see mine there either. Glad I'm not the only one...

Well if you find it let me know. I can see a black box above the glove box that appears to be about the right size so I’m going to pull that out and check in the next couple days. 🤞

Yeah I was think the same thing. Maybe it's above the airbag, or next to the AC amplifier. That's the only probability I can think of.
