The 350 with or without a Tune is moving the second the Rev's go over 1K. It has a pretty low stall torque converter.
IMO the throttle response for the era and technology is pretty darn good, no gripes from me. It is nothing like described above. The one gripe the 2IS crowd does have is the LAG the TCU has when shifted manually. This takes some getting used or you bounce it off the limiter.
With exhaust and tune, it'll hit 7,200 pretty quick in low gears as well as lose traction and this is when it's a problem as the lag from the paddles to the next gear can catch up and take it deeper into the red. Hint - engine is not lagging! Lol
