Hello everyone! I just recently got a 2008 Lexus is250 awd and I love it! Although sometimes, the radio does not work and when turning it on there is a loud knocking noise that comes from the back of the car or just recently, the drivers side. Some forums have explained that the amp is the issue and that it can get too cold where the amp is located in the trunk, or the amp can get wet or have a buildup of moisture. Sometimes the radio will work after driving for 30 minutes without it, some days it just won't work especially rainy or cold days, but it isn't dead because the radio does work most of the time. I was wondering what the fix for this is? I've heard of some people taking the amp out of it's spot and placing it in the trunk, or I believe I saw somebody mention putting a kitchen towel under the amp. I want to know the best course of action to fix this problem for good so that i don't have to always worry if I'll have audio or not in my car, it's especially embarrassing when I have passengers. Any tips or fixes would be greatly appreciated!
