Hello guys new to the forum. Is it possible to intsall a AWD 4frgse into a rwd is250 lexus? I already got the engine installed into my car but it wont start up(ofcourse we took off the awd parts). Instead of pushing on the brake pedal and pressing start button ,the car just turns on when i press the start button. It turns on then the engine wants to start, it cranks and cranks but can never start running. Any Suggestions? Heard its possible to put AWD engine into a manual is250. Thanks for your time.

The engines themselves are the same. Check your electronics.

Did you use your original wiring harness?

Are you 100% sure you didn't forget to swap anything over? I recently installed a 2015 4GR engine into a 2007 IS250 that i acquired from my sister and it started right up on the first try. I swapped over my intake manifold, engine harness, injector driver ecu, alternator and starter.

I suggest you read up on all the other swaps. If the two engines are side by side, all things need to match what you pull out of the car.

Air intake, TB, wiring harness, and of course the oil pans...

Suggest you also look at 3GR swaps. These are a direct bolt in for any 4GR. All be it, not as many AWD depending on your region.

some minor parts need to be reused from your original engine but the long block is the same.
