My 2008 IS's driver's door has been sticking as I try to exit. I can pull on the handle and every so often the door won't open. Sometimes I can pull it a second time and it works, sometimes I have to push against the door and pull the handle. Have any of you had this problem?

 

Remove the door panel, and check the connection at the handle, see if its not broken.

 

What part of the door though is sticking? Is it the actual lock mech catching or the door hinges binding up?

 

I'm pretty sure it's the lock mechanism. Previously I used a little EP lithium grease on the latch and it helped a little. Today I hit all four latches, all four door handles (outside and inside) with EP lithium and worked the handles a few dozen times each door. It seems better but only time will tell if it's real fix or I'm in one of those "ain't broken" periods I've experienced before.
