Hello, I'm having trouble finding a Wiring Diagram of the top half of the engine. I have a Wiring issue that affects the charcoal canister evap connector and a second issue on the middle drivers side ignition coil. The connector clips on each have cracked causing performance issues at times. Taking a hard bump or sharp turn can cause the check engine light to start flashing signaling a Missfire.
I need to know would it be better cost effective for me to buy a new harness? Can that be self installed with no wire splicing? Or should I find the two connectors and find someone who can splice them?
I HAVE THE 4G JAPANESE BUILD WITH 311K MILES, AWD. 2.5l

I have a couple wires in our harness that I've extended (MAF and ACIS come to mind) with no negative impact on how the engine runs, If a replacement engine harness is cost prohibitive, then simply splicing in a replacement connector should work. If I stumble across my wiring book, I'll poke my head back in here with anything it says about the connectors...might get lucky and have that part number readily available somewhere

Please opt for bare bare crimp connectors (non-insulated) and shrink tube. Just figure out what wire gauge you have and order the crimp tool, connectors, and wire stripper.
See youtube for splicing videos. Keeping in mind that any good splice can withstand a moderate pull test. If it pulls apart, you've done something wrong. So try again and buy more connectors than you need.
Look up automatic wire strippers. Like these...
Just keep in mind there are different kinds of connectors and tools for crimping them. Make sure they match.
People like to solder but it makes the wires brittle and they fail... don't!!
