Default Oil leak near water pump and crankshaft

Looking for advice in trying to identify the source of an oil leak which is caked up on the water pump. The intake manifold (lower) seems relatively clean. The area behind the crankshaft pulley (harmonic balancer) is also quite dirty but doesn't seem as "wet" as this area on the front of the water pump

Best to degrease the area first. The gunk brand from AutozZone works wonders. Clean it then monitor where the oil is making its way from.

My car did this back in the day when it had around 40k miles on it. It looked just like yours and was the timing chain cover. It was covered under warranty but I still remember my advisor telling me that it was a really big job to fix. They also replaced the water pump while they were at it.

My guess is timing chain cover…. Just had to get mine fixed! Major
deal. Luckily Lexus was able to help out quite a bit with the cost.
