I purchased my baby (used IS250) which is a 2008. Once she was in the garage I removed the main engine cover only to discover that the two push-on fasteners that hold down the cover over the little protrusions... were obliterated. So the cover is basically held on by the rear spring clip, gravity and some Japanese voodoo. I'm working with my brother to create a 3d printed replacement for those torn up cover adapters. I've got them installed on my car now. They are made with TPU filament for flexibility and will allow you to use the existing rubber gasket that came with the car as an insert. The replacement will be glued to the engine cover in the same place as the original plastic parts. Any interest for purchase? I'm still prototyping to find the best flex/fit.
This is a replacement for the parts circled in the attachment I'm adding.
Thank you,
Jeffrey
