I am interested in buying a 2006 IS350 that has an aftermarket (Topnavi?) stereo installed. It's not my favorite - but the seller still has the original head unit and he is including it in the sale. I'm also pretty sure that the "sticky" door and dash panels were never replaced while that recall was active (am I correct that it just ended in March of this year?). I currently own a 2009 IS250 AWD, and was planning on swapping over the dash and head unit to the IS350. I might also look at doing the same to the door panels and the steering wheel at some point. Is this doable? I have read around and seen that the AC vents at the top of the head unit changed in 2009. Basically, If I bring both the dash and head unit from the 2009 to the 2006, would it work out?
