crank no start
2010 is-250, was parked for 9 months, the battery had been removed and it was running fine when parked. when i returned to the car i put the charged battery back in and tried to start. it will crank but not start. there are check engine light, battery light, and power steering light all on. any ideas on how to diagnose or fix.

Did you use a fuel stabilizer when you stored the car?
Also, check to see if there was a ground wire connection that was reestablished when you reinstalled the battery. Not sure if there is one on the IS 250, but my Ranger pickup has one.

im assuming the battery is not the issue, furthermore ive had a jumpbox hooked up to it when trying to start. the engine tries to start but it just wont turn over, im guessing its not getting gas or spark but im not able to diagnose and be certain. My first thought was the fuel pump, but i also know the car was running fine and now it just wont start. i dont want to spend alot of money on parts i dont need.

Could be the fuel cut-off module. There will be no reset button. Try putting the car in "accessory" mode, that is, push the starter button without depressing the brake pedal. Leave it in accessory mode for a few minutes, then turn off and try to start the car as usual.
Good luck!

Or.....it could be the car's security immobilizer system. Don't laugh but try these steps:
1. Get out of car.
2. Lock car with keyfob or the emergency key.
3. Leave the car parked for at least five minutes.
4. Press unlock on the keyfob but don't open any doors yet.
5. Remove the emergency key from the keyfob and use it to lock & unlock the driver's door three times.
6. Now reenter the car and start as per usual with the keyfob.
Good luck!

I'd get a scanner on it and look for pending codes assuming the OBD port works.
Phone apps and OBD port readers are less than $50.
That said, pop the engine cover and look for poop and other signs of where they've been. If nothing is found, get some starter fluid, pop the accordion hose at the air filter, fog a few seconds into the hose, shove back together swiftly (don't worry about the clamp), dash to the driver's seat and try to start it. You'll want to depress the accelerator 1/4 for starting fluid to get past the throttle plate.
