Default Stock ISF Wheels on RWD 250

I have a RWD 250 currently on stock 17" wheels and everything is stock in terms of height and geometry. I want to put stock ISF 19" wheels in and i've read that they fit the 250. I'm also confused because i've read mixed things about the front potentially rubbing on the stock tyres (225/40/19 front & 255/35/19 rear) One please i read about rubbing on the front tyres is on the following thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...ing-fixes.html

But looking at that thread the original poster mentioned that their car is lowered so i'm wondering could his have been causing the rubbing? Or is it safer to go with 225/35 on the front instead of 225/40?

Also, if car gets loaded with passengers or weight at the back i'm assuming it will go lower, will stock height be ok to not cause any rubbing with weight?

Would appreciate some advice.

Thanks

I don't have ISF wheels but run the same tires 225/40/19 and 255/35/19. ISF wheels and tires will fit fine on 250 as few have done just that.
You may or may not have an occasional rubbing against the front plastic fender liner at full lock. Nothing that heat gun won't fix in few minutes.

Fixing tire rub with heat gun, pressing the plastic inwards then quickly spraying cold water to harden it. Freezer ice pak will work just as well.

All done, no rubbing at all.

Thank you. So I'm fine sticking to the stock size at the front rather than switching to 35 profile? Also what about if the car is full of passengers at the back, does the weight not cause the car to go down and touch the tyre?

I don't think ISF wheels will cause rubbing on the back even with passengers in it. Are the rear wheels 9" or 9,5" wide? and what is the offset ET?

The fronts are 19x8J 45 and the rear is 19x9J 55. So the rear I am assuming is 9" wide with an offset of 55 i take it?

19x9" + ET55, the rear wheels may look a bit sunken in and definitely nowhere near the fenders. If your dampers are not leaking, you will not rub even with passengers in the back seat, no worries.
Go ahead install your new wheels and tires. Don't forget to post pictures for us to see.
Cheers

I was thinking the same as my original stock 17's are 17x8 ET45. With the ISF rears being 55 essentially that extra width gain from 8 to 9 inches is almost lost in the 10mm extra positive offset right? It still may be a bit more outwards towards the fender than the stock 17" as 1inch is 25mm. So if I subtract the 10mm extra positive offset from the 25mm extras gain in wheel width, does that mean my rears will essentially be sticking out 15mm more than the stock 17" did?

Could I add a space on the rear wheels to get it more towards the fender? What kind of spacing will be good? Are spacers really safe? I get worried they may fall off. I read some cases of them working themselves loose so also gets scared with spacers.

To bring the wheels closer to the fenders you could use spacers. I've used them on several of my cars and not ones have I had any problems. Stick to a well known brands: H&R, Eibach, ST Suspensions, Adaptec and you won't have to worry about these things failing. If I could give you advice, buy brand new wheel spacers. Used spacers could be cracked, have damaged treads, or just made from cheap quality materials. The most important thing: DON'T EVER USE IMPACT GUN on them, use torque wrench only. The best and easiest to mount are the ones with pressed in studs.

I can't say for certain, but suspect you need half that 25.4mm as half is going to the inside too.
