Default SMOG SENSER settings

Interested if anyone has altered the sensitivity setting for the SMOG SENSOR via display control;

It's probably best on hi setting. I really don't know how much faster it will react. Though very beneficial if at a drive thru, and you can smell the cars exhaust in front of you.

Thanks MikeFig82. So, a higher seating would engage the recirculation air feature to come on more frequently, and disabling the fresh air feature due to sensor determining more air pollutants, correct ?

Apologies for not including how to access the Smog Sensor Feature. With vehicle in the ON position, locate the AUTO button shown below, and hold for a few seconds. The Smog Sensor screen will then be displayed (vehicles with Navigation). I clicked the Climate button at the left of the Navigation screen to Exit.

That's my understanding, but again how fast it would react not sure. Since I have the non nav setup I can't compare. If you disable then the feature shouldn't activate.

Ah, I was wondering if you had a car with the feature after see you suggest that it should work best on (hi). In my experience with that setting, it frequently switches back and forth between recirc and outside air even when there are no obvious (at least to my nose) fumes present.If the OP finds the default setting isn't working well enough, I'd bump it up one step at a time. Mine is currently set one step above (M).

Thanks Bichon. I assume the M setting is the default factory setting. Will set one level above M as suggested, and check results.
