looking to purchase my first vehicle. I was originally going to go with bmw E92 328i but reliability is a concern. I am interested in 2006-2013 IS250 (probably AWD). Is there any major differences between 06,07..,'12. etc. model years? Is there a year I should try to buy? How is the reliability for this vehicle? My budget is around 10k. I would appreciate any advice/feedback as I dont know much about this vehicle.

If your budget will allow, try to go with an IS350 which has both direct & port fuel injection. IS250 has direct fuel injection which could lead to carbon fouling of the intake/exhaust valves which has been widely reported.

Also, early versions of the 2nd generation IS cars have this sticky dashboard issue which was remedied somewhat later, don't know which year.

Prices will be better here for an IS350. Only buy the IS250 if you want a manual car.

yes ontario about 40 minutes from toronto. is the is350 more reliable ? gas is more expensive but i think its worth the extra 100hp
