Hi guys just bought a 2007 IS250, car was running fine until last night lights got very dim and would not start it would crank but not start, I changed the battery but did not notice the terminals were switched so I placed positive to negative and so.. there was a small spark, but then I connected it correctly; however now my car doesn’t recognize my keys, I have to manually open it with the key, the radio does not turn on.. only dome lights turn on, I try to start the car but push to start button is red and does not start car nor cranks or anything dash board turns on, headlights turn on but I can’t start the car or even unlock the doors from the control panel in the driver door… did I blow a fuse while changing the battery?! HELP!!

Looks like you blew out your fusible link. Search the forum for fusible link. How did you mange to connect the terminals in reverse? My negative cable won't reach the positive terminal. Did you mistakenly install the battery so the positive terminal was near the negative cable?
yeah thanks for your help seems like that is the problem I’m having, the previous owner had swapped the terminal caps so the black cap was on the positive cable and the red one on the negative, I didn’t double check because I’ve changed batteries many times and never has happened to me, but my mistake I’ll always check from now on
