Default Engine immobilizer

Hi so I just bought a 2007 lexus is250 and today the
check engine light came on with the traction control
light, I get to my friends shop I turn off the car once
I try to turn on it would just crank then I tried again it
would turn on and die as soon as it hit 1k rpm then
after 2 more times it would just crank, my mechanic
friends then scanned the car and he got an error
code that meant engine immobilizer, so he did the
paper click trick and after 30 minutes it worked but
after I turned it off and on a few times the car
wouldn't start again just crank so he said I needed
to replace that part (engine immobilizer) so I leave
for like an hour come back to see maybe the car
would turn on and guess what it did i don't know
what's wrong with it cause the engine light is still on
( ps this is the second time he did this trick when he
first bought the car it wouldn't turn on either) help!!!
Anyone
