sorry to hear it didn't work. Have you considered this unit with on paper better specs and backup camera?

Doesn't say that at all.

The ad states it works on nav systems for 06-09, works on non nav through 2012

Everything works except the AC. Even the steering wheel controls and the radio.

This link didn't resolve for me. Also i would be hesitant to buy directly from China as support and returnability was a huge decision maker for me.

Then that means one plug is not plugged in. Here's a layout what needs to be plugged in:

Yup, all of these were hooked up. Even the AC controls and hazard plug. Still didn't work. Sent them several pictures of everything hooked up as well. Can't remember where the RX/TX plug went. But what really shocked me was a lot of the plugs had a lot of wires mis-aligned, meaning they had wires going into the plugs but no matching wire on the car plug side.

If that's the case, it sounds like you have a bad harness. If you want to salvage it contact the seller for a new harness. If not or they want to make you pay, then maybe you should ask for a return label or do a charge back because it is supposed to work.

They sent me another harness and canbus adapter free of charge. This didn't fix the problem. If you see my post it has already been returned. So it worked out no problem. Just some issue with the software on my unit is what I think it was. They even sent me a firmware update which I did and it didn't fix the problem.

Sorry, I guess I'm confused. Has no one with stock navi been able to get any of these (android plug and play radios) to work? Also when I say work, I mean everything like the HVAC system, and back up camera. I have an 08 with Navi and am/was going to buy one in the next couple of weeks. Now I'm rethinking. . . .

I could not make a similar unit work on mine either. I had the same issue, AC would not work. My OEM unit stopped working, so may have had to something to do with that. Though my understanding is that you do not use anything from the original unit. I ended up returning it, and picked up a 10" Tesla style unit. Everything but the hazard button worked, even stock back up cam. Hazard button was mapped to the wrong pin.
This is the unit I got a couple of years ago.

Edit: This is how the AC controls look. To turn on the windshield and rear glass heater there’s an app that was already installed which has more functionality.

can I download and use this app?
I have same head unit but different app and I need to change it.
