Default Aftermarket resonator with stock muffler

Hi, I’m looking to replace my OEM resonator with a vibrant 1792 resonator and put my stock muffler back. I’m currently running a 2nd cat delete and muffler delete setup, sounds great but I really hate the drone and cabin noise. Is there anyone who tried the same setup? Is there going to be any exhaust tones or it’s gonna sound quite? Thanks!

Currently looking to do the same, want to keep my OEM mufflers and add resonator for some extra noise. Wondering if it will add drone

Uhm, resonators are there to reduce the drone, not add to it. As the exhaust pulses leave the headers, the resonators minimize the reflections creating a more homogeneous flow in one direction.

How about do something crazy seeings you have no secondary cats and and toss this Borla cross pipe muffler in by the transmission tailshaft, then run duals right to the rear of the car.

Should be cheap and get you what you want plus some weight savings.

The muffler / cross pipe will act as a resonator and 2.25" out the back will keep the flow up far better than the mufflers it has now

Plus you get a true dual exhaust..

I just want a lil purr nothing obnoxious at all…also I have read a lot about “drone” some people say it’s even unbearable/migraine inducing lol. Definitely don’t want to regret it as this is my first car

Many didn't notice but when our manufacturers started placing the muffler at the back of car vs under the car, that's when the drone started. Had I not come a cross an F-Sport exhaust, I would have done this.
