Pls I current have an engine issues with my is350 2009 and now the mechanics said I need to buy a new engine and he said to me the is350 and is250 engine are the same so definitely he’s going to buy the is250 engine, pls If anyone knows where I can buy another is350 engine here Lagos because I know there’s a difference and the horse powers aren’t the same. Pls share me your ideas

They're not the same engine. How about you start maybe explaining your engine problems.

Echoing above, the 350 and 250 do NOT use the same engine. I'd say find a new mechanic, but to be fair, I'm pretty sure Lexus doesn't have a physical presence at all in Nigeria so it's not like they would know any better. Unless, this mechanic only works on Lexus models, then I would def find a new mechanic.

You'll likely have to source an engine online/overseas, but you'll need to find out where your car was imported from and source the engine from there as some emissions controls and what not from say a US model aren't necessarily compatible with a JPN model.
