Default HELP! During the repair the shop smashed my sunroof and replaced it.. now it leaks!

HELP!
So the autobody shop that was working on my car smashed out my sunroof somehow and then replaced it… But now it seems like it won’t go up completely flush like before and it pisses water on the inside if you pour water on it outside. 😳 😱

HELP!!

Take it back to the shop or take to another shop to fix? Maybe they dropped something on top of the sunroof and some metal arms got pushed down or bent.

Have you tried recalibrating it? The procedure should be in your owner's manual or you can look it up.

I'd bring it to the dealership and get a quote for proper repair, and then bring that to whatever shop broke it and make them pay for it.

Even if it doesn't seal it shouldn't pour water in. It has 4 drains, one for each corner, if plugged, water will come in.

Yours sounds like one or more is plugged and needs cleaned out.

Tree parts and pollen over the years will do this.

Broken glass or glass dust could have clogged the drains. It's THEIR failure that lead to this issue; so it is THEIR responsibly to fix it completely back to how it functioned BEFORE the damages.

Was your insurance company made aware of their damages to your sunroom while in their care? They can hold the shop liable to fix it COMPLETELY or pull a "preferred shop" status with the insurance company. They won't want that.

Not to thread hijack, but quick question- I've heard some watery draining noises in the past when I first take off in the morning while turning right, sounds to be around the drivers A or B pillar, is this the draining? Should I be able to hear it? Thanks!

Could be. You can open it and pour water in. See if sounds the same?

I hear draining noises in that area when it's raining hard outside; otherwise, I don't hear anything.
