Default F Sport Chassis Brace worth it?

Hi CL,

I am hoping to get some advice on if the F Sport Chassis Brace is worth it for an 06 IS250. I found a used one and debating buying it. Think it's a worthwhile investment?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. It is a great mod.

I noticed a significant difference after installing mine.

Ah, I'm torn on it. Someone from Reddit said it's negligible difference. Not a lot of reviews on this particular mod compared to the front strut bar and rear sway bar.

The F-Sport under chassis rear brace is a must do mod if you're looking to enhance steering responsiveness and chassis rigidity. Easily one of the more underrated mods to do on the 2IS. You'll feel the car quickly respond to your inputs, especially with slalom type maneuvers

Thanks for this -- I'm going to pull the trigger and purchase.

Would you be able to provide some insight into whether the f sport front sway bar is worthwhile for an IS250? I have read through all the forum posts on this topic but it seems people are split on whether it's a worthwhile investment. Thanks.

Big Yes! I finally bought one this summer off ebay from a dealer in the states. after wondering for years why my 350's rear have unnecessary movement. It's worth every penny the rear end is way way more stable / planted at corners. The only problem I have is scraping it, you can also get TOM's version which tucks in better so you don't scrape...

Thanks for the feedback! I decided to buy the F-Sport brace based on everyone's feedback.

Now I just need to decide on whether the front sways are worth the $$!

The rear sway bar is a must. Will be more noticeable than the s f-sport chassis brace. I’m running the figs rear sway. Night and day difference.

I'm going to install the f sport rear sway bar + the chassis brace. Do you think the front f sport sway bar or even megan racing bar for the fronts are needed?

Front sway bars will help keep the 2IS feeling neutral when cornering. Upgrading just the rear sway bar will give an oversteer characteristic to the handling dynamics which is fine if you're on a budget but you won't extract the most of the suspension setup as the front end will still be prone to a higher rate of roll. I used just the rear sway bar for a few months and while it made the car feel fun in the corners, adding the front sway bar later on further improved the stability of the IS.

^^ Agree with above, both are needed if you like to play in the corners and try and maintain a stable foot print by minimizing chassis roll. Also do a search for IS-F steering ECU. When coupled with the brace and anti-sway bars, it will feel like a different car. Of course, put the best tires on it you can afford and know that as you stiffen it up, when it does let go in a corner, hopefully the VDIM will keep you from going round and/or hitting something.

Do both the front and rear F Sport sway bars. Sway bars are one of the best mods that I did to my IS350.

Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks all for the great feedback. I am going to change both the front and rear sway bars. I just need to find the front bars -- I have the rears and chasis brace.
