About 2 months ago I started hearing a creaking/rubbing sound from the steering wheel. Similar sound of a door hinge when it's not lubricated. The sound is intermittent (not constant) and only during steering wheel movement, 90% of the time when turning right but very rarely when going straight or turning left. At low speeds and mostly after accelerating from a stop. Does not make any noise when car is stationary and moving steering wheel. Not super loud but it’s noticeable enough.

It’s a lot louder in the mornings/night when temps are lower out but also happens during daytime albeit not as loud or often as when it’s cold ish.

Went to 2 independent shops and they both inspected and said everything was fine and don’t know where it’s coming from. Nothing is rubbing anywhere

That's an odd sound for sure. In what scenarios does it make that sound? Only from a stop while turning at low speeds?

Yes, When I come to a stop then move forward and turn the wheel to make a right turn.

AWD IS350 model perhaps? Thinking MAYBE a front axle shaft.
