2014 Lexus IS350 No Sound After Carplay Installation
Hi there,
I'm facing a weird issue where I have no sound coming from any of the modes on the car. I installed a new carplay touch screen from aliexpress, which was working fine and still is. However after I reinstalled to the screen to clean up some wiring yesterday, I lost all sound.
My guess is, there is some type of connection to the amp behind the glove department? That's where I was cleaning up the wires and maybe I knicked or disconnected a wire? Does anyone know if there are any connections behind the glove box that connect to the amp?
I know many of you will link me to this https://www.clublexus.com/forums/is-...r-failure.html. Trust me i've read this forum.
I've checked the 2 30A fuses, those are fine. I've checked system diagnostic and i'm getting NRES for Display. I also checked out the amp on my lunch break, there's some corrosion on the bolts used to fasten the amplifier holder, but the amp looks fine. I haven't been able to remove it yet though. However, it seems like my car is giving all the issues of a bad amp. No sound, volume doesn't change, can't access DSP or change TREBLE/BASS etc. However there were no pops or really any sign of the amp going bad before hand.
I really don't want to buy a new amp lol. Please if anyone knows what that NRES code is please chime in. Also if there is any connections behind the glove department that go to the AMP.
Thanks,

Probably not related, but thought I'd mention this just in case. When my android carplay connects, I have to press on/off the volume **** if I'm connecting via BT otherwise I get no sound. It shows that the audio is playing (time moves), but no sound comes out...until I press the **** on/off. If I connect via AUX, I don't have to do this as it just automatically plays correctly.. Weird but that's what I need to do when on BT.
