Paint protection film, prevents rock chips/dings from the wheels kicking up rocks

Did it leave any residue or outlines? Was it easy to get off?

just use a heat gun or blow dryer and it'll come off. you can use alcohol or goo gone to help remove the adhesive...while still using applied heat. it's not difficult to remove.

Very easy. Took me less than 5 minutes for both sides

If you have wide tires, sticky tires, or spacers, you may want to keep it in tact to prevent rock chips. though on a stock car, like my IS200T from 2016 brand new, i removed them and didn't experience any chips? but your results can vary. I know on my Tesla Model Y, I got a couple rock chips in that area after a 400 mile road trip... Tesla offers PPF for that very spot on my car. so i rushed and got the PPF kit. in some regions, they install it at the factory.

so the point is if manufacturers offer a PPF kit for that spot, especially installed at factory, it means through their testing they identified it as a high rock chip area. makes sense due to how much it sticks out into the path of the tire debris.
