Paint Quality on New IS 350
#46
UPDATE: I was easily able to fix that pin hole paint imperfection. I cleaned the dot well with 50/50 of 70% iso/water and I put a tiny pin drop of clear coat touch up inside the hole using a sharp toothpick. I missed once because it was hard to gauge the precise location looking at it through the rest of the paint. 2nd time I nailed it, looked much nastier than before as now it's a raised pin drop, but fear not!
After a few hours I came back with a very light polish and a lot of elbow grease and was able to practically remove it to my satisfaction to where it's almost impossible to see. I'm sure it would go quicker with a harder polish but I only wanted to make it good enough to where at my next paint correction it will be removed completely along with my swirl marks but its literally gone.

My 2023 IS350 has a couple milky discoloration spots on the Caviar. I garage it, wax it, and immediately remove any bird droppings. Not sure what is going on. Either it came like that or it is
prone to staining? They are not prominent, so I can live with it.

My 2023 IS500 had a couple cloudy spots toward the bottom of the driver-side front door. Not sure what happened, but I was able to polish them off. Looks totally normal now.
