Default Any suggestions for light weight rims for 2021+ IS?

Also does anyone know how much the OEM wheel weighs? Want to figure out if there is weight reduction that can be done in changing rims.

the front 19"x8.5" is 31.97 lbs and the rear 19"x9.5" is 33.62 lbs, I think any after market wheels will save some weight

Enkei RPF1 are light but played-out.

We can build some BC Forged wheels, or some Te37s work too.

Yes look up BC Forged, either a 1 piece or multi piece wheel. Many styles, colors, and fitment we can do.

Takes about 4 weeks.

Interesting. Are these the standard F Sport rims or the BBS? I can't find the weight on the matte black BBS wheels.

those are F-sport wheels on 23" IS350, I switch out with Enkei PF05 with same size and width and it's save me 9lbs on each corners

Do you think the inset matters for the wheels? If I'm understanding correctly, smaller offset/inset makes the wheels more protruding, which means probably better cornering due to wider body. Also for the front, does the pattern matter? I see there are two, one being 5x112 and the other being 5x114.3
Thanks a lot!

I think a wider stance would handle better and the Lexus IS bolt pattern is 5x114.3, the 5x112 won't work for the IS

Okay, last question. How much of a difference do you feel after the change?

At some point wider isn’t better. Did the engineers get it right or would a centimeter or so be better? I don’t know, but wider isn’t always better.

Imagine for example a car with wheels that stick out five feet from each corner. Obviously that would handle like crap. Furthermore, wider means more up and down travel for the suspension and the suspension only has a finite amount of travel available. Also wider means more stress on suspension components and the bushings only have so much give. Also wider will put more weight on the inner edges of the tires instead of evenly distributing the weight over the contact patch.

And let’s not forget if the tires stick out farther than the fenders you’ll be spraying gravel on everyone including your own paint.

Hi, I don't see the website mentions the weight of the wheels. I'm mostly shopping for weight reduction instead of looks.

If you pick a style and size we can get a ballpark figure.

Anyone knows the offset when choosing aftermarket wheels?
