Smile Switched from ES350 to IS350 regrets?

I'm contemplating switching from a 2019 ES350 UL to a 2022 0r 2023 IS 350. Some of the things I love about the ES: uses regular unleaded fuel, interior space, approach lighting, cornering lights, hands free trunk opener, smooth quiet cabin. Had a 2023 IS 300 loaner (engine was a little buzzy, need the IS350), the things I love about the IS350: Body style, folding rear seats, fun to drive, the engine sound when I step on the gas, the color combo, glazed caramel interior and iridium exterior (glazed caramel not avail on the IS350). IS350 challenges: outdated tech, eats tires, interior space, premium fuel. The IS350 will be my daily driver, no kids, on average I drive less than 50 miles per day. Anyone switch from a 7th generation (2019-2024) ES350 to a 3rd generation (2021-2024) IS350? If so do you have any regrets or never looked back at the ES350?

Both are nice choices. I've always had IS's, and considered moving to ES. What I think it most comes down to is the ride. Obviously the ES is going to cruise more softly, and the IS will have a stiffer ride. But the IS is not uncomfortable by any means. There are times my IS350 rides so smooth and catch myself saying, not bad for a 311 hp sports sedan. The ES would be a easier commuter car with the softer ride and longer lasting tires. Also better mpg's and easier to get in and out of. But all these points are subjective and aimed at people's personal levels of importance. They are both great cars.

Not exactly your requested scenario, but I switched from an earlier generation ES (1999 ES300) to a 2014 IS350. I considered, and almost bought a 201x ES350 before I stumbled upon the IS. The newer ES seemed bloated compared to my old ES, while the IS seemed about the same size. The first IS I test drove was an IS250, and that almost made me pass on the model. Way underpowered.
When I tried again with an IS350, I was sold. I had to hunt for awhile to find one with the right color combo and options, at the right price too. No, I am not looking to go back to an ES. The IS is just right as my daily driver and winter car (with AWD).

I love the more stylish design of the IS, looks much more sporty than an ES

pretty sure you just answered all your own questions, what's more important to you? Space and tech? Go with the ES, if you want styling and drive experience then go with the IS. I someone want to trade my 2022 IS350 for a ES Fsport Hybrid but love the way my IS looks and drives.
