Odd comparison. You could get two older RCFs for the price of the new IS500. If I were looking for a 5L Lexus, I’d throw in a few more pennies, and get a LC500 convertible.

What's your plan for the car? Daily driver? Track toy?

Daily Driver and a track toy. Is this possible?
if not then just the daily driver is fine.
would be nice to have a track toy too though

I would go with RCF. Cheaper and same engine. Plus it can be tuned to support full exhaust.

Agree, if it's your daily and occasional spirited driver, I think RC F makes sense. I would say if you daily it and never plan to drive it hard, IS 500 is going to be more refined and easy to live with. But an RC F is totally daily-able.

The IS500 in QC is $95,712.06 out the door (tax in).
Is it 80k tax incl in Ontario??

If you can afford it, get the IS500.
I'd have a hard time justifying 45k on a 10 year old car.

I'd get a 2019 RC F. that was the last year before the weird looking refresh.
