Default My Phone Mount Solution

2 weeks ago I purchased a 2014 IS350 RWD F-Sport and I love it, but one thing I hate is the lack of convenient places to place my phone. I've looked at the common phone mount solutions and think all of them are not ideal. I came across the UGREEN magnetic phone stand for desks on Amazon and thought I could make it work and it is better than any other solution I've seen! I mounted it with a few 3M black Command Strips after cleaning the dash and bottom of the stand with an alcohol wipe, and I removed the thin rubber pads that originally came on the base of the stand. For this to work with my phone (the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, which is not MagSafe compatible), I had to affix a thin metal ring to the back of the phone case (the ring was included with the stand). If your phone has MagSafe, it will work just fine. This isn't a charging stand, so you'd have to run a cable to power. Everything is solid, with no shaking during driving and the orientation of the stand remaining firm. I thought about centering it on the dash, but it's more convenient having it a little closer to me while driving.

Might want to consider this one (Samsung Wireless Car Charger) since it doesn't block the screen and it charges the phone:

Yours is probably the best one I've seen...I just didn't like the idea of blocking a vent. You're right about blocking the screen, and the worst thing about my setup is not having access to the screen and the backup camera, so I might not stick with my setup for too long.

I have a phone holder that is ment to be clipped on to the vent but instead hooked it on to the lip of the CD slot, I never used CD so it works well.
I did remove it, i instead bought a center arm rest tray, made a QI wireless charger, and wireless screen android auto. Now I just drop my phone in the center armrest tray, it wireless charger my phone and connects to android auto on my screen.

A bit off topic… where did you get those carbon fiber panels for center panel and doors? They look great! It doesn’t look like wrap

they are 6D carbon vinyl from Amazon ( tinybots vinyl 6D gloss) if you take your time on the right type of vinyl they can look good. I bought 4 different type of vinyl and this one looked the best, it's a bit thick so hard to use.

What's the exact phone holder that you clipped to the lip of the CD slot? From your pic, that looks better than the mounts that are purpose-built for the CD slot, as those block the climate controls, while yours appears out of the way...
