My 2023 IS350 is now six months old. I love it.
I have the base infotainment setup. The screen
looks fine, until I use the AppleCarPlay. The blacks look like washed out grey/green. The vertical strip on the left that shows the basic apps in particular looks washed out and the colors of the apps don’t really pop. The map also looks a bit washed out. I was dealing with it, until I just took an Uber ride in a Camry. It had an integrated screen and the AppleCarPlay display looked great. A nice black vertical strip on the left. The AppleCarPlay in my wife’s Subaru looks great also. In my IS350, it seems that the screen settings are only for brightness and contrast? I played with those settings, but no improvement. Anyone have the same issue?

 

My wife has 2021 NX300 with exactly same display like mine 2022 IS350, but her’s is not touchscreen (only touchpad) - and her screen is more clear and sharp, i was wondering why is that…

until I noticed that my IS has ‚screen protector’ layer which is not 100% transparent (it has this rougher texture on it) - not sure if it’s removable, so didn’t attempt to do it yet but definitely changes darker colors to lighter ones.

I would guess that the dealer
would remove any simple protective
sticky film. But great suggestion.

I lived in NJ. Loved it!

 

I used a glass protector, but i maninly Android auto, but I don't recall Apple care play being weird when u used my work phone.
