Exhaust help
First off, be gentle. I have no real knowledge about cars, so I’m looking for some help from people more knowledgeable.
I recently purchased a 2023 Lexus IS500 and absolutely love it. The one modification I want to do is put an aftermarket exhaust on it.
I’m not a racer and I don’t like super loud “raspy” exhausts. So after trying to do my due diligence, I *think* what I’m looking for is an axel back resonated exhaust? From the videos I have watched/listened to, it seems to have that deep growl that I desire.
Assuming the above is my best option, the two brands I see most are Apexi and Borla. Is there a side by side sound analysis that anybody knows of? My ears seem to think that the Borla S-type exhaust is a little deeper growl and less high pitch at higher RPMs. Does anybody agree/disagree with that assessment?
I would love to hear some first hand perspective on both or either of these specific brands/exhausts for the IS500.
And I apologize if this is a common question that is posted often.
Thanks in advance!

We have helped many with their IS500 exhausts.
I would say start with a midpipe as that will make a big difference, and then you can change the axle back from there.
If you want to keep the stock axle back then an unresonated apexi midpipe. If you will change the axle back then a resonated apexi midpipe.
If you want just an axle back, lot of choices.. Apexi, GTHAUS, Toms, Revel, Borla.. All in stock.
