Best affordable street performance tires for IS350
Hello,
I have 2022 IS350 AWD
My new wheels finally shipped, so while waiting for them to arrive I was looking for some tires to replace OEM Bridgestones.
Aftermarket wheels will be same size as OEM (just different offsets):
Front: 19x8.5 +35
Rear: 19x9.5 +25
I probably want to stay to same size of tires as OEM to not mess up with AWD system, also preferably all season (living in North Jersey, lastly we have so much rain ) but Im fine with summer set also as I might just put my OEM wheels with tires for the winter anyway.
So after some research I figured that Michelin Pilot Sport All Season 4 would be best option, only thing is that full set is like 1200$+ which I cannot afford right now.
I read that Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 are great street tires on budget - anyone would recommend them? I like to drive spirited, sometimes I go on some twisty roads to take curves in higher speeds, so I will need some good grip for sure.
any other opinions and recommendations?

I swear by the Yokohama Advan V601s if you're not going on a track. I do spirited driving around town and haven't had traction issues. They are also wearing extremely well. At this rate I will get more than the 12,500 miles they are rated for. The best part was that after manufacturer rebates, I got them at Discount Tire installed for $1012 with road hazard certificates. Not sure on pricing currently but I'd recommend them.
Thank you for opinion! I looked at that tires, pricing is bit lower than Michelin which is a plus and they also have sizes that I want 👍🏻
about miles rating - they have 40,000 miles warranty but rated for 12,500? Could you explain how it works? Cause Im not sure how much miles I should expect from new tires, my OEM Bridgestones are still alright (car is at 13,500miles), not sure how long they typically last.

Look into Falken FK510
Really good on dry/wet and not that loud.
Indy500, you'll eat up in one summer if you drive a lot.
I get about ~40,000 km per set (Nexen <-- Yeah I know, they're garbage haha!, Nokian Z Line, Kumho PS31 and now Falken FK510). I'm on staggered OEM 18" and not lowered if that matters.

Tires ?
Curious, my car came with new like but mismatched tires and Ill be replacing them before winter. Thinking of not setting up winter wheels and tires and just going all season. Previously on my many Subarus I ran Continental ASX with excellent wet and light snow results but they get loud as they wear. Tried a set of Hankook V2 Concept, they ran very quiet and comfortable but gave me no confidence on wet roads and snow.
With the premature tire wear I think I need a tire above 500 threadwear.
Tire rack has some good deals at the moment.

Thank you all for recommendations! I was checking every single one of them, reading reviews and checking prices.
At this point looks like Michelin Pilot Sport 4s is my goal.
The price difference is not that big between all of the recommended ones so i wouldnt be saving a lot.
Ill just use OEM Bridgestones for now as they are not in that bad condition and in few months I will replace them with 4ss.
Who knows, one day I might actually wanna go on a track to play with the car a bit.
Thank you all for helping me make the decision! I needed those examples to make sure I am making right choice.

I've been using the Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02 on my IS 500. I really like them.
(Note: These are the summer tires, the ECS02, NOT the all-seasons, which are the Extreme Contact DWS06+.)
They were only a couple hundred dollars less than the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S for my vehicle. However, I do like how these have a different character than the Michelins as well. Up in the twisties, they seem to have very similar grip to the Michelin, but they're a bit more relaxed overall. That is, the Michelins are a little sharper and immediate, almost to a fault. I think the Continentals are more comfortable to drive while still being an improvement over stock. I recommend them especially if you still want to daily your car.

I have Firestone Firehawk on my 350, I LOVE them for the performance. I will admit they got louder and harder now that I have 10k on them. My goals have changed and I am probably going with Continental ECS as my next set when the time comes.
Arentz are they quieter than stock? Are they as soft as stock?

I am getting to the end of life of my second set of Indy500s.
With occasional fairly aggressive driving, my first set of Indy500s lasted 28k for the fronts, and 24k for the rears (more of a highway biased driving).
With the second set, it has been more of a city-biased driving.
Currently I am at 15-20% life left on for the rear tires after 18k miles, and maybe 25-33% on the fronts with 12k so far.
.
A pretty good summer tire if you want more immediate response and firm sidewall. It also resists hydroplaning surprisingly well, even when they are worn close to or beyond the "legal" limit.
I cannot confirm nor deny that I drove on the worn-beyond-the-legal-limit tires. But if I did do that, I would have found that those changing-width grooves def helped to evacuate water very well.. surprisingly well indeed.
ps. Also ^^^ comment above this one on the loudness of Indy500 applies.
