Default Unknow part application 2024 IS350 Sport F

New owner of the 350 Sport F. There are 2 items in the trunk that I have no clue
as to their purpose on one of them. The front license or plate adapter, of no value
so it stays in the trunk, LOL! However, the second item is a puzzle. It is a pair
of black rubber strips formed into a right angle like a rubber L bracket. Each Unit is
13 inches long with 4 neatly place punched holes for mounting. The P/N is 53851-53080.
They are to be mounted somewhere(?) with 4 plastic push pins Instructions are included
on a yellow sheet written in Japanese. There is an arrow pointing to the FRONT, I assume,
front of the auto? Anyone have a clue? Thanks!

Take a picture of the yellow sheet, use Google lens to translate, maybe that will help resolve the part’s purpose.
(From your description, it sounds like a plate holder used by dealers when you take a car for a test drive (one leg of the ‘L’ attaches to the plate, the other gets pinched down by the trunk lid to hold it on the car))

I need the license plate holder if it fits my 2017 F Sport. Do you want to sell it ?

Post a picture, just saying ‘There is a yellow’ doesn’t help us help you.

Thanks for all the replies. Yes, agree... I will take a picture of the yellow page and post kj07xk. Thank you.

On the front plate, NYIS300... let me think on it. And thank you.

Is this what the part look like? Google says it's part of the inner fender liner, towards the front of the fender where it meets the bottom of the wheel well.

So running your image through Google Lens with translate, gives the following:

So your object, which you haven’t posted a picture of, could maybe be the air dam that attaches below the fender liner in front of the front wheel?

Thanks! I will take a look. See the FIRST picture with the yellow sheet which is being held down in place by the actual parts. One on the top, one on the bottom of the illustration sheet. Two black rubber L brackets.

Indeed you are correct. There are 4 pop screws/holes that line up with the component part. Interesting in that the

dealer and parts department had no clue! Thanks!

Ah, missed them in the picture, I was looking at the sheet.
Good, now you know. Are these extras, or were the air dams not installed?

The air dams were not installed. I suspect they are not installed because of risk of damage in transit.???

So... what do these dams accomplish? For cooling, improve mileage, ..... It is a tweak from the design I suspect that over the years of IS development must be worthy of
adding to the car.

Helps move water off the road in front of your tire.

This IS350 was equipped with summer tires, low profile. So that makes sense if it reduces the likelihood of hydroplaning ?
