Default Aftermarket IS350 LED headlights with auto leveler and error comes up

Good Afternoon Team!
I installed an aftermarket LED headlights for my 2014 Lexus IS350. Looks great. OEM look. However I'm getting a message "Check Headlight System". All lights are working. However I tried to reinitialize the headlight system with my computer. It goes through the process and error disappears. But once I turn on the headlights, the error returns. Any suggestions? Battery was disconnected during the installation. And reinitialized.

Thank you for your time.

Did you have LED or HID to start with? If HID, then you probably need a resistor to make the load of the LED look similar to the HID. I would suspect there’s a setting in the car configuration (using Lexus diagnostic tools) to select LED/HID, but I don’t know for sure.

It came with factory LEDs as a add on. Reason why i installed the aftermarket one cause the factory ones got dull.

Other thoughts of things to try:
1. Plug the old units back in to see if the error clears (just to verify it’s a lamp issue).
2. Contact the seller and manufacturer about the issue.
3. Google the brand to see if anyone, even other car makes, have had similar issues with their lamps (and maybe solutions).

I did reinstall the OEM back on. Error cleared. Reached out to the vendor and they will very understanding and refunding upon receiving the headlights

What brand and model was it? So others can avoid the same situation.

All you likely needed was a "relay" which is a part the vendor can likely provide for like 10-20 bucks. Long story short, the relay gets rid of the error code on your dash.
