Default 2024 IS350 F Sport - What accessories do you buy??

Hi all, when it comes to buying a new car, what are some of your must purchase accessories for your car?

I’m trying to figure out what are necessary items and I only have the following so far:

- usb cords
- cup coaster
- screen protector
- key fob cover/keychain
- license plate frame
- weather mats

Feel free to blurt out anything that comes to mind.

Thanks everyone! It’s much appreciated!

Hi there!

Great list so far! Here are a few more must-have accessories that might come in handy:

1. Dash Cam - Essential for recording your drives for safety and evidence in case of an accident.
2. Portable Car Vacuum Cleaner - Keeps your car clean and free of crumbs and dirt.
3. Seat Covers - Protects your seats from wear and tear, spills, and stains.
4. Trunk Organizer - Helps keep your trunk neat and prevents items from rolling around.
5. Phone Mount - For hands-free navigation and calls, which is much safer and often legally required.
6. Emergency Kit - Includes items like a first aid kit, flashlight, jumper cables, and basic tools.
7. Sunshade - Protects your car's interior from sun damage and keeps it cooler.
8. Tire Pressure Gauge - Ensures your tires are properly inflated for safety and better fuel efficiency.
9. Bluetooth FM Transmitter - If your car doesn’t have built-in Bluetooth, this can be a great way to play music and make hands-free calls.
10. Trash Can - Keeps your car tidy and free from litter.

Happy car shopping, and enjoy your new ride!

Best,
Wilson

Your list and Wilsonwalker4's list I think covered everything I have gotten in the year that I have owned my IS.

My list:
  • Phone Mount - I got one that attached to the vent and is also offset so that the phone doesn't block the airflow.
  • Dash and Rear cam - I opted for a dash and rear facing camera set up incase of rear end collisions.
  • Trunk Organizer - Found one that fits perfectly in my trunk (I made a thread about it)
    • Things in the organizer:
      • Quick detailer
      • Microfiber rags (to clean up bird droppings or any emergency clean ups)
      • Jump pack/Air compressor
      • Basic tool kit
      • Towel
      • Seat Cover (for when I am coming home sweaty from the gym or something)
      • Shopping bags
      • Umbrella
      • Lint Roller
  • iPhone cable - for Apple Carplay
  • Metal 'F Sport' license plate frame

If you're getting a dashcam I suggest a dashcam mirror power adapter. It plugs into your rearview mirror so you dont need to run power wires.

Also the center console tray from the RC350 / RCF fits and looks great

I installed the OEM stainless steel lighted trunk sill plates. They also have really bright inside LEDs that illuminate the trunk way better than the tiny light at the top.

Highly recommend this. Makes a good hidden wire solution. You only need to pop off the MIRROR covers. You do not need to pop out the overhead console. Less things to break!

For seat towel covers, I can’t recommend these enough.
Amazon Amazon

It has an inner liner and a headrest cover that it hangs from. You can also tuck in the towel into the headrest cover and zip it up.

Led lights for the trunk, doors and footwells. Wrapped the chrome trim around the side door windows with black wrapping. Lexus "L logo" tire stem caps.

+1 for sun shade, 1000%. And I keep a portable inflator in the trunk just in case I either get a leak or need to air up the spare (hopefully not, fingers crossed).

Also I really like keeping some glass cleaning wipes just in case of bugs. Not really an accessory but just remembered I need to put those back in my car...

Since I posted in this thread, I have ordered and installed:
  • RC350 Center Console Tray (love it)
  • Little trashcan that sits in the drivers side door panel
  • Dongle to have my dashcam be powered by the mirror vs having the wire come from the center console (love how clean it is)
