Lexus IS200T AC cleaning
I have a problem with bad smell from AC for like 1 minute after the car starts (2017 IS200T), so i bought this Toyota Airco Cleaner foam, in the manual it says to put the hose into air inlet and empty the bottle. Does anyone know where exacklly should I put the hose? Is it the inlet under the hood near wipers? Does the dash board vents have access to evaporator and I could spray there? I've done some research and the best way would be to spray it into the drain hose under the car, but some genius engineer from Lexus placed the drain above transmission pan, so there is no access... I saw some posts that point there is a drain hose connection under the passenger carpet, I pulled it out but there is nothing, I also removed the panel under passenger air bag, and there is one thick horizontal rubber hose (attached photos) is that AC drain hose and should I spray the foam into it?
For now I removed cabin air filter, put AC on max, air from outside and sprayed Lysol disinfectant into the air intake under the hood, lets see if that helps, until i know where to use this Toyota foam.
Thanks for help!

Hi, the best results I had was using a procedure from this forum. 2 steps involved, and repeated every week for a couple of times. Materials needed: a can of AC spray foam with plastic tube to get deeper + a solution of 99% alcohol with 30% distilled water in a plastic glass that has a spray muzzle.
1. When changing the glovebox filter, I use the AC cleaner foam and put the long tube to get beneath the fan (it's below the AC filter); spray a couple of times there by moving a bit the tube then let it sit for 10-15 mins. That foam will clean the inside of the AC and the evaporator.
2. Put the NEW AC filter, start the car with A/C on MAX and letting air from outside, then spray all that 70% alcohol solution (300-400ml will suffice) from outside on the vents near the wipers. All of it, be patient. Then let it run on full A/C for 15 mins. Open the windows, and let i run more, to get new air at the end. Don't stay inside the car during this time!
I had to do this like 3 times in a month. Afterwards, once or twice yearly, but only as maintenance, the smell NEVER returned. If I start to feel just a bit of that smell (like a tiny bit), then it's time to do it again. Best tip ever for this AC cleaning, and it was from here on the forum.
