Curb rash 2
With my 2017 IS, no curb rash in six years.
With my 2023 I have had two incidents since Nov.
The 19 vs 18 inch wheels plus the delicate chrome
is not the best combo for me evidently.
The first rash was bad enough that I got a new wheel.
This time I used a black sharpie.
Anyone able to keep these wheels pristine?

You are scaring me. I haven't curbed my wheels on my 2017 GS 350 yet. I'll be buying a set of aftermarket chrome wheels soon. Don't want to end up in the same boat! How did the sharpie look on the black chrome?

Well, the dealer said that the finish can’t be repaired…
at least by them. So, after the first damage, I replaced
the wheel. The second hit was not as bad and left basically
a smooth white scar. A black sharpie made it less obvious.
I need to be even more careful.

For me, life is too short to worry about it.
